Dragons are a common figure in children’s stories. They usually appear as antagonists, villains, or monsters but sometimes they are the heroes as well. The first dragon that appears in a story is usually a villain and must be defeated. But later on, the same dragon may be a hero in another story. In Chinese, European, and Japanese literature, dragons are portrayed as good creatures.
